TELIMMUNE POINT OF CARE (POC) ANALYZER
The NRHA reports that 20% of the American population lack immediate access to clinical laboratories which are located at a small number of sites. This is a much larger problem globally, and limits adequate care for all patients.
Those clinical labs are staffed with teams of skilled technicians who are equipped with sophisticated scientific instruments. This drives up the cost to patients and insurance companies significantly.
The Telimmune POC Analyzer approaches this problem through a point-of-care platform that will allow primary care institutions to test for multiple disease states using a single drop of blood. This will drive the cost and lost time down while ensuring patients gain immediate attention from their healthcare supplier.
The Telimmune POC Analyzer will be a miniature analytical system that allows medical professionals to obtain quantitative data simultaneously on multiple biomarkers from using a single drop of blood in a non-laboratory environment.
HOW IT WORKS
Results will be achieved by using our Telimmune Plasma Separation Cards as the collection basis for the device. The Telimmune POC Analyzer will report these results via facility WiFi or remote satellite hotspot utilizing light intensity measurements.
WHO IT'S FOR
The initial target market will encompass remote medical primary care institutions and healthcare professionals, including doctor’s offices. A second target is pharmacies. Their services have been growing rapidly in the last decade through point-of-care testing.
WHAT IT MEASURES
The focus is to perform multiple immunological assays of biomarkers in five minutes. We are studying the markets and comorbidity needs with expectations to provide 12 - 48 assays per card.
